We wanted to give you all a little bit of insight on what is going on with Crutch Field. As many of you have heard, we are moving. The bittersweet day is coming soon. We are headed for Nashville. We are not really sure what we are pursuing except for God, His plan for our lives, music, and family. We are in a crazy state of mind with all that is going on but we have had several good mentors helping guide us through this process. Well, let's see. I have resigned from Denver Baptist as interim worship pastor, we are putting together an acoustic tour for the summer, selling our house, writing an incredible amount of new material for the new album that will be released this fall.. and did I mention no JOB? This is a real kicker for me. This is the first time I have been without a job since I was 15. Let me tell you I have had to do a lot of soul searching the past couple of weeks. Kerri has let me assume the role as full time dad here at the house with the girls, allowing me to get all of this soul searching out of the way, while she heads off to work as a Barista (for those of you not up on your coffee vocabulary, she works at a coffee shop). Anyway, so nothing really has been happening around here! All joking aside, God has been so faithful. We are so blessed. I would like to say THANK YOU to all of you that have helped support Crutch Field in the past, it has been an honor to serve you here. Well, for the rest of the gang...Erin will be staying here in North Carolina (for now that is) and Christian is in the planning stages of moving to the great state of Tennessee. I think he will end up in our house at some point in time on this journey.
Also, we wanted to share with you that we are now a non-profit organization operating under the umbrella of the Christian Independent Alliance. Any donations given to Crutchfield Ministries through the CIAlliance will be tax-deductible. We have some specific needs for our ministry that we would like to share with you. We are in need of a van for travel. As you may know, we travel with at least 7 people every time we play and it can be difficult in a small vehicle with two little ones for hours on end. Ha! Ha! We have a few different projects that we will be working on this fall. We will be heading back into the studio to record our second album with all new material that we have written over the past two years as Crutch Field. We will also be recording a Christmas album as well. Our last project that we are praying will come to fruition is this...we want to record an album full of music that inspired us to answer God's call. Most of which will be songs of worship and praise that were influential to us as we were growing up. I'm sure a lot of the songs that we are planning to record will be some of your favorites too. Please take the time to pray for our specific needs. If you feel that God is calling you to give a monetary donation, you can donate via the web at our Crutchfield Ministries non-profit website. Thanks for your prayers and support of Crutchfield Ministries!

First of all, I would just like to apologize that it has taken me an entire year, almost to the date, to write a new journal entry. I accept any criticism openly! It really has been an exciting year for us, and I once again I apologize for failing to include you.
God blessed John and me with a new addition to our family. Lillian Kate was born on September 8th, 2007 and weighed 8 lb and 7 oz. She is our beautiful little red head, we have no idea where the red hair came from! She has truly blessed our family. Georgia is a great big sister and is great at keeping a pacifier in Lilly’s mouth!
John is serving as the interim worship pastor at Denver Baptist Church and I am serving as choir director. We are really enjoying being involved with this community of believers. If you live in our area, please come worship with us one Sunday! We would love to have you.
Well enough about us, let me give you an update on Crutch Field. We just added a new manager, Greg Jacobs, to our team. He has worked in the entertainment industry for years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Not only are we gaining him as a manager but also as a brother-in-law. He is marrying John’s sister, Cathi, in June. We are excited about this new addition to our team. He handles the “business” side of our ministry so that we are able to focus on ministering to others and writing songs that lead people to the throne of God.
Also, we will be returning to the studio to record our new album in August of this year. God has been revealing some incredible things to us and in turn we are able to write songs as a response to what He is doing in our lives. Please pray for us as we continue to write for this project and seek God’s will for it. We want the songs that we place on this record to be a reflection of His glory and greatness on this earth. We long for people to worship Him in complete freedom and we want the songs that He gives us to be a catalyst for that. I have so much to write and just can’t seem to find the words for all of it! I guess that’s my fault for taking a YEAR to write another journal entry!
Erin and her husband Carlton bought a house this year and have been busy making it a home. No babies yet, but believe me I’m praying hard for that! Erin and I have been able to spend some time writing together recently and have discovered that it’s like free therapy for both of us! We are able to talk through things that are going on in our lives and write about them. What an incredible job we have!; We love it! Most of all, we thank all of you for supporting us so that we are able to pursue God’s calling on our lives.
Now on to Christian. He is working on his own solo project and we couldn’t be prouder of him. He has an incredible gift of writing and we can’t wait to see what God does with his own ministry. We are really excited that the band is I guess that’s it for now. I promise to write more frequently so that I won’t have to be so long winded next time. Or would you call it long typed? Well, enough of my endless ranting. We love all of you and hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.;;; Blessings, Kerri
February 22, 2007 : Perfect Timing
God's perfect timing... it's so much better than ours. A few short years ago, John & I were praying for God to open doors for ministry. I remember being so impatient and feeling like God wasn't hearing us. Well, the truth is, God heard everything, every whispered prayer, every tear that fell, every frustration... God was there. He was preparing us the entire time for what He had planned. There were times when we felt our plan would be better, then God would gently, but sternly remind us that He always knows what's best for us. He has promised us all a hope and future with plans to prosper, not to harm.
Over the past year, God has began piecing the puzzle together. We now have a full band that shares in our passion for ministry. We had a great 2006 and know that God has amazing things for us in 2007. We can't say that there aren't days when we wish things would be more than they are now, but again it's all in Gods' PERFECT TIMING.
