Hello friends, I wanted to just give you a little update about Crutchfield. We have been working hard to get this EP up and going, which has taken a bit longer than we thought it would, but by the end of this week it should be up on the web for all of you to enjoy. Kerri and I have been praying about opportunities for us to serve in the community here in Nashville and as usual God always gives you ways to use your talents and gifts. Kerri has been taking her photography skills to new levels in the past month, by getting to shoot for Sonic Flood on several different occasions at concerts Radio promotions and conferences which has been a great stress reliever for her and really just another way to serve and to build relationships. She seems to always come home refreshed after taking pictures and getting to be creative in that way. For myself I was contacted about leading worship at an event called GodMen, Your probably wondering what is GodMen so here is a short preview. GodMen is a place for men to come together once a month at the Foundry in Nashville on the first Tuesday of every month where we worship and hear about how Jesus was a real mans man and apply that to our lives. Transparent is a word that comes to mind when thinking of GodMen no rules, regulations or legalism. Men are able to speak what they actually are thinking, it is quite refreshing to see men as they are and not wearing a mask. There is one rule though. No Women are allowed. Nothing against females its just a time set aside for men. Speaking of Girls our two rug rats are growing like weeds. Georgia is still singing our ears off and changing her clothes every 5 minutes. And Lilly is running now everywhere she goes and her favorite word now is MIMI. Life is good here in Nashville but we need your prayers and support. It is vital that we lift each other up. So if you have needs I want to here about them so I can help. And Like wise we are in prayer about the future of Crutchfield Ministries and the road that we are on. One more thing we have on our plate right now we are making a Promotional media kit to help spread the word about Crutchfield so if you want to help shoot me an email. One of our major needs for this is Video of Crutchfield leading worship, so if any of you have something like this in your collections of Video let me know. Well that's all for now from the Crutchfield's.

Hey Everybody , Crutch Field, Newell and The King just got back from a great weekend at Johns Creek Baptist. We led the worship for their Disciple Now Weekend. It went incredibly well. From the students that came ready to worship and learn, to the leaders and parents that helped make this weekend happen. I just want to say job well done. If you ever want to be treated like royalty attend an event hosted by Jim Walls, this pastor truly goes beyond the call of duty to make you feel welcome and meet your needs while in his care. The response of the students to the call to worship truly encouraged and humbled Crutch Field to keep doing what we do for the sake of the Gospel. Johns Creek Thanks for a great weekend!!!
We will be releasing a three song EP within the next month. So shoot me an email and I will put you on the list to get your tunes first. There are a couple of things that need your prayer and help. First financial backing for the next album to be released in the spring and Second for places to share what God has allowed Crutch Field to create musically. Kerri and I have been working our tales off booking and lining up opportunities. So if you have any leads let us know.
Fresh words for today is this. In Matthew It says that we are to go into all the world and proclaim that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. But I think that Jesus was implying more than us just saying the words, there has to be action involved. The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as your self. So who do you need to be loving on and showing that the Kingdom of Heaven is Near?? Look around people are everywhere. I only say these words due to my own conviction about my lack of giving to the ones in need. Lastly I would like to encourage you to check out a link on our site: www.Inspireworshipconference.com which is a worship conference led by my good friend Carl Cartee here in Nashville. If you want to be challenged and encouraged to do your best at leading God’s people in worship you should attend. Thank You for your support and look forward to hearing from you.

Hello friends! We wanted to give you an update on the Crutchfields. We have finally made it to the metropolis of Nashville and we are getting settled in. Nashville is such a great place... from the people you meet on the street to all of the professional musicians and song writers that are roaming around everywhere. For the past month Kerri and I have been praying and seeking God’s direction on what to do, where to go, who to meet and well, pretty much everything. God has been faithful to give us direction for His glory and our good. We are currently writing new songs and will be recording at the end of October for a 3 song EP that will be available online. We are so excited about getting back in the studio and accomplishing one of the tasks that we were made to do. We pray that this music will glorify the Christ we serve and and that it will be used to reach people all around the world.. We ask that you would pray for us on this journey that we are on. There are a few needs we would love for you to be praying for... 1. Pray for direction on this new album that we will be recording the first of the year and releasing in the spring. 2. Financial freedom on this project. As many of you already know God provided every penny for the last album down to the fuel cost to get us back and forth to Nashville. God is so faithful and we are continuing to believe God for His provision. 3. Connecting with the people here in Nashville. We are continuing to look for a church home... we know that God has a special place for us here.
We are offering the same offer for this album that we did the last. Anyone who helps provide financially with $20 or more will receive a copy prior to its release. Our new address is 6503 Holt Rd Nashville TN 37211. We would love to hear from you!! Stay tuned for our new 3 song EP which will be available online soon!!

We wanted to give you all a little bit of insight on what is going on with Crutch Field. As many of you have heard, we are moving. The bittersweet day is coming soon. We are headed for Nashville. We are not really sure what we are pursuing except for God, His plan for our lives, music, and family. We are in a crazy state of mind with all that is going on but we have had several good mentors helping guide us through this process. Well, let's see. I have resigned from Denver Baptist as interim worship pastor, we are putting together an acoustic tour for the summer, selling our house, writing an incredible amount of new material for the new album that will be released this fall.. and did I mention no JOB? This is a real kicker for me. This is the first time I have been without a job since I was 15. Let me tell you I have had to do a lot of soul searching the past couple of weeks. Kerri has let me assume the role as full time dad here at the house with the girls, allowing me to get all of this soul searching out of the way, while she heads off to work as a Barista (for those of you not up on your coffee vocabulary, she works at a coffee shop). Anyway, so nothing really has been happening around here! All joking aside, God has been so faithful. We are so blessed. I would like to say THANK YOU to all of you that have helped support Crutch Field in the past, it has been an honor to serve you here. Well, for the rest of the gang...Erin will be staying here in North Carolina (for now that is) and Christian is in the planning stages of moving to the great state of Tennessee. I think he will end up in our house at some point in time on this journey.
Also, we wanted to share with you that we are now a non-profit organization operating under the umbrella of the Christian Independent Alliance. Any donations given to Crutchfield Ministries through the CIAlliance will be tax-deductible. We have some specific needs for our ministry that we would like to share with you. We are in need of a van for travel. As you may know, we travel with at least 7 people every time we play and it can be difficult in a small vehicle with two little ones for hours on end. Ha! Ha! We have a few different projects that we will be working on this fall. We will be heading back into the studio to record our second album with all new material that we have written over the past two years as Crutch Field. We will also be recording a Christmas album as well. Our last project that we are praying will come to fruition is this...we want to record an album full of music that inspired us to answer God's call. Most of which will be songs of worship and praise that were influential to us as we were growing up. I'm sure a lot of the songs that we are planning to record will be some of your favorites too. Please take the time to pray for our specific needs. If you feel that God is calling you to give a monetary donation, you can donate via the web at our Crutchfield Ministries non-profit website. Thanks for your prayers and support of Crutchfield Ministries!

First of all, I would just like to apologize that it has taken me an entire year, almost to the date, to write a new journal entry. I accept any criticism openly! It really has been an exciting year for us, and I once again I apologize for failing to include you.
God blessed John and me with a new addition to our family. Lillian Kate was born on September 8th, 2007 and weighed 8 lb and 7 oz. She is our beautiful little red head, we have no idea where the red hair came from! She has truly blessed our family. Georgia is a great big sister and is great at keeping a pacifier in Lilly’s mouth!
John is serving as the interim worship pastor at Denver Baptist Church and I am serving as choir director. We are really enjoying being involved with this community of believers. If you live in our area, please come worship with us one Sunday! We would love to have you.
Well enough about us, let me give you an update on Crutch Field. We just added a new manager, Greg Jacobs, to our team. He has worked in the entertainment industry for years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Not only are we gaining him as a manager but also as a brother-in-law. He is marrying John’s sister, Cathi, in June. We are excited about this new addition to our team. He handles the “business” side of our ministry so that we are able to focus on ministering to others and writing songs that lead people to the throne of God.
Also, we will be returning to the studio to record our new album in August of this year. God has been revealing some incredible things to us and in turn we are able to write songs as a response to what He is doing in our lives. Please pray for us as we continue to write for this project and seek God’s will for it. We want the songs that we place on this record to be a reflection of His glory and greatness on this earth. We long for people to worship Him in complete freedom and we want the songs that He gives us to be a catalyst for that. I have so much to write and just can’t seem to find the words for all of it! I guess that’s my fault for taking a YEAR to write another journal entry!
Erin and her husband Carlton bought a house this year and have been busy making it a home. No babies yet, but believe me I’m praying hard for that! Erin and I have been able to spend some time writing together recently and have discovered that it’s like free therapy for both of us! We are able to talk through things that are going on in our lives and write about them. What an incredible job we have!; We love it! Most of all, we thank all of you for supporting us so that we are able to pursue God’s calling on our lives.
Now on to Christian. He is working on his own solo project and we couldn’t be prouder of him. He has an incredible gift of writing and we can’t wait to see what God does with his own ministry. We are really excited that the band is I guess that’s it for now. I promise to write more frequently so that I won’t have to be so long winded next time. Or would you call it long typed? Well, enough of my endless ranting. We love all of you and hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.;;; Blessings, Kerri
February 22, 2007 : Perfect Timing
God's perfect timing... it's so much better than ours. A few short years ago, John & I were praying for God to open doors for ministry. I remember being so impatient and feeling like God wasn't hearing us. Well, the truth is, God heard everything, every whispered prayer, every tear that fell, every frustration... God was there. He was preparing us the entire time for what He had planned. There were times when we felt our plan would be better, then God would gently, but sternly remind us that He always knows what's best for us. He has promised us all a hope and future with plans to prosper, not to harm.
Over the past year, God has began piecing the puzzle together. We now have a full band that shares in our passion for ministry. We had a great 2006 and know that God has amazing things for us in 2007. We can't say that there aren't days when we wish things would be more than they are now, but again it's all in Gods' PERFECT TIMING.
